A scientific approach to personality analysis
Dr. Vardi's methodology integrates systematic graphological analysis with research frameworks drawn from clinical psychology, personality theory, and organisational science. The method has been developed over five decades of research and field application — not intuition, but structured analysis that withstands scientific scrutiny.
Each assessment is grounded in an in-depth analysis of specific graphological parameters, enabling the identification of behavioural patterns relevant to the role: decision-making capacity, interpersonal dynamics, resilience under pressure, and organisational fit.
Graphological findings are integrated with clinical psychology to produce a comprehensive and reliable personality picture — one that cannot be obtained through interviews alone or standard psychometric assessment tools.

The Graphological Parameters
Each assessment includes a systematic analysis of dozens of graphological parameters. The following are the core parameters at the heart of the method.
Writing pressure
The intensity of pressure the writer applies to the page — an indicator of energy levels, impulsivity, and resilience under stress.
Letter size
The ratio of letter height to width — reflects self-image and confidence levels.
Spacing
Distances between words and lines — characterises the need for personal space and organisational ability.
Writing pace
Speed and continuity of writing movement — reflects the pace of cognitive processing and spontaneity.
Letter slant
The inclination of letters to the right, left, or upright — indicates emotional direction and attitude towards others.
Connectivity
The degree to which letters are connected — characterises logical thinking, planning ability, and social attitude.
Margins and space
Use of the blank page — characterises the relationship to environment and structure.
Consistency and rhythm
Level of uniformity throughout the text — indicates emotional stability and resilience under sustained pressure.
The Assessment Process
From handwriting sample to complete report
Receiving a handwriting sample
The candidate provides a free-text handwriting sample in accordance with the practice's guidelines.
Initial analysis
Dr. Vardi performs an initial reading of the handwriting and identifies the parameters relevant to the role in question.
Parameter processing
Each graphological parameter is examined in depth and compared against the required behavioural profile, using a structured and consistent method.
Report production
The organisation receives a detailed report including a personality profile, key findings, strengths, and potential risk indicators.
Validation & Research
Supported by data, not assumptions
Over five decades, validation data has been accumulated from hundreds of assessment projects: tracking graphological predictions against actual performance, broad organisational samples, and comparative examination against standard psychometric assessment tools. Findings are consistent and replicated across industries and roles.
“Handwriting does not lie — it is a direct expression of personality structure.”
FAQ
Questions about the methodology
Graphology is the study and professional analysis of handwriting for the purpose of understanding personality characteristics, thinking patterns, and behavioural tendencies. A graphological assessment examines the movement, form, and organisation of handwriting within a structured methodological framework. When performed by an experienced graphologist, it can provide valuable insights that support recruitment, executive assessment, leadership development, and other human capital decisions.
Graphology is a field of study and professional practice that explores the relationship between handwriting and personality, thinking, and behaviour. Over the years, a variety of methodologies and theoretical models have been developed, and graphology has been applied in areas such as recruitment, assessment, and organisational consulting. While its scientific status continues to be discussed within the academic community, we regard graphology as a professional assessment tool based on structured methodology, extensive practical experience, and accumulated knowledge, used as part of a broader evaluation process.
There is no universal accuracy rate that can be assigned to graphological assessment. As with any professional evaluation tool, the quality of the assessment depends on factors such as the quality of the handwriting sample, the purpose of the evaluation, the available background information, and the experience of the graphologist. Assessments conducted by Dr. Igal Vardi are based on decades of professional experience, research, and a unique methodological approach, providing organisations with valuable insights that support informed people-related decisions.
No. Graphological assessment focuses primarily on the characteristics of the handwriting itself, including movement, form, organisation, pressure, rhythm, and the relationships between handwriting features, rather than on the meaning of the written words. As a result, assessments can generally be performed in a wide range of languages and writing systems, provided that the handwriting sample is natural and continuous.
Psychology is a broad scientific discipline that studies the mind, behaviour, and mental processes through research, clinical practice, psychological testing, and therapeutic methods. Graphology, by contrast, focuses on the analysis of handwriting as a means of evaluating personality characteristics, thinking styles, and behavioural tendencies. While psychology relies on interviews, psychometric instruments, and clinical assessment, graphology offers a complementary perspective based on the professional interpretation of handwriting. Together, these approaches can contribute to a broader understanding of the individual.
